Established in 1985 our aim at this riding school has been to provide a safe, friendly and informal atmosphere in which to learn to ride and look after a horse/pony. We cater for all ages and abilities and beginners are welcome. However, we are only able to accommodate lightweight riders and a weight limit of 11 stone. Our facilities include 2 floodlit all-weather outdoor arenas, showjumps, and a variety of cross country jumps.
Pevlings Farm is an approved Pony Club Centre- a scheme offered to riding school children who do not have their own ponies. Membership of the pony club is offered and members can take their Pony Club Tests and achievement badges under this scheme.
We offer lessons in groups or individually on our carefully selected horses and ponies. Hacking options involve rides through quiet country lanes and bridle paths.
Other activities include shows and gymkhanas with rosettes and cup to be won. We run stable management courses, Brownies and Scout pony rider badges and children’s ‘Fun Days’ where children can spend a day with us combining a riding lesson with grooming and pony care and other fun activities.
Riders are also able to participate in the ABRS Weekly Rider Tests Scheme or the BHS Progressive Rider Tests.
There are two smart stable blocks for DIY liveries offering a secure yard, with grazing and free use of the facilities.
